Pacific Forest Products was incorporated in 2002 to trade logs and lumber.

Pacific Forest Products (PFP) was incorporated in 2002 to provide log marketing and logistics services into the Asia Pacific, Indian and Middle Eastern Markets.
The Group is employee owned and has a small highly experienced team of 23 staff, with offices in Auckland, Tauranga and Gisborne in New Zealand, along with Portland in Australia. We are 100% employee owned which gives us a very strong focus on running an efficient business.

Our key organisational strategy is to operate a small and experienced team that can achieve a significant operating scale and is agile enough to effectively manage the highly dynamic business environment that we operate in.
Our log export volumes are currently averaging 5 million JASm3 annually, with a stable supply group that includes a number of significant forest owners and management companies.

Export operations in New Zealand are concentrated out of the North Island ports of Marsden Point, Tauranga and Gisborne, and we also ship regularly out of Port Chalmers in the South Island. We also operate periodically out of a number of other log export ports around New Zealand such as Napier, Picton, Nelson and Dunedin. Our Australian operation export logs regularly out of the ports of Burnie in Tasmania and Portland in Victoria. The Group also manages log export operations and marketing of eucalyptus plantation logs from the Big Island in Hawaii to the Asian market.

Pacific Forest Products are able to ship to most major ports in Asia, India and the Middle East. We strive to meet our customer’s demands and our scale enables us to ensure a regular, efficient and cost effective shipping service, filling around 12-15 bulk vessels per month. We charter our own vessels so we have full control on where we send them. Our staff manage all aspects of ship chartering and export documentation in house.
